From file to recipient

Access belongs to a specific handover. Permissions are checked again when the recipient returns later.

  1. Select the files

Include the files needed for the specific case.

  2. Choose the recipient

The link or code leads to this handover.

  3. Review access

Set expiry, PIN protection and allowed actions.

  4. Follow the history

Delivery, opening and review are separate states.

Controls in everyday work

Access with a specific scope

The recipient opens the authorized handover. There is no global search for all patient files by national identifier.

Separate PIN protection

When PIN protection is enabled, share the PIN separately from the link. The access code and PIN serve different purposes.

Expiry and revocation

Access can expire or be revoked. Access expiry does not delete the files; retention has a separate policy.

File checks

Pending and quarantined files are not ready to download. Availability and restoration from archive have separate states.

Roles and identity confirmation

Clinic roles restrict actions. Two-step sign-in and fresh identity confirmation are supported for protected actions.

Traceable actions

History distinguishes access, downloads, returned files and administrative review. Opening is not clinical approval.

Verifiable claims

Read the specific terms.

Hosting, data locations, encryption, backups and monitoring also depend on the operating environment. The Trust Center provides current disclosures and separate drafts for legal review.

Questions about access

What does the recipient see?

Only the files and information in the handover they are authorized to access. Other cases and private doctor notes are not shared with them.

What happens when access expires?

The recipient can request new access when eligible. The clinic decides whether to approve it; expiry and file availability are checked again.

Does a clinic group share medical files?

Group membership does not grant shared examination access. The owner approves selected administrative summaries and can withdraw sharing.

Can MediSend be used for diagnosis?

MediSend is a file handover platform. It is not an EHR, PACS, diagnostic DICOM viewer or medical device. Use appropriate medical software for diagnostic work.
