Requesting and receiving files
How do I request files from a patient or colleague?
In File requests, select Request files. Describe what you need and send the protected link. The person uploads without an account, and the files arrive in Received files.
Email or in-person delivery
If the creation response is lost, retry with the same details. Retry confirms the original request without a second invitation. Its one-time PIN is not retrieved again. Open the original request to check its status and prepare a new link when needed.
- 1Choose Email or Link / QR in person before entering the recipient.
- 2Enter a name, the files needed and a future deadline. In-person delivery needs no email and sends no SMS or email. Email at upload is optional too.
- 3Create the request and copy its secure link or print the QR. Share the code’s PIN separately; it is not in the QR. Check the recipient before handing over access.
Create the request
- 1Open File requests and choose Request files.
- 2Enter a name and email if you want the invitation delivered by email.
- 3Describe exactly which studies or documents you need.
- 4Check expiry, permitted files and whether a PIN is required.
- 5Create the request and share the link or code.
Where files arrive
A successful upload appears in Received files. Open it and check that it contains everything requested. A standard request accepts one successful submission.
Request link and code
The direct secure link opens the particular request. An enabled additional PIN is required only when using the request code. The QR opens the link and contains no PIN. Do not confuse an upload code with a Patient Key for receiving files.
