Requesting and receiving files
How patients upload files
The patient opens the request, checks which organization wants the files, selects files and confirms their authority to send them.
Steps
- 1Open the link or code entry page.
- 2Check the organization’s name and what was requested.
- 3Complete the required details.
- 4Select files from your device.
- 5Confirm your authority to send them and submit.
Permitted files
You can send DICOM, archives, documents, images and other safe files. The form shows size and file-count limits. Preview is not available for every format.
For the patient
A reference code appears after successful submission. No account is created or needed.
For the clinic
The submission appears in Received files. Downloads remain blocked until the safety check succeeds. The team can then review it, mark it as reviewed or create a handover.
How access is limited
A Patient Key opens one handover, for a limited time and number of uses. A file request accepts only the requested submission.
No global patient search
MediSend does not provide public patient lookup by identity number or name, or create a public patient profile.
