Archive and retention
What archiving means
Archiving does not delete the handover. History stays visible, while older files may need preparation before downloading.
Archiving is not deletion
An archived handover remains visible with its receipt and deadlines. File content may move to slower archive storage.
Separate from access
Recipient access can expire long before archiving. Archiving does not extend public access, and public access does not determine retention.
Conditions
- Handover completed.
- No request for missing information remains open.
- The required result has been returned and reviewed, where applicable.
- All active recipients have acknowledged receipt, where required.
Automatic deadline
By default, the active phase lasts 60 days from creation. When the conditions are met, the system can archive it; the team can also manually archive a completed handover.
