The examination reaches the referring doctor and patient.

Deliver DICOM and CBCT archives, images and PDF reports through a protected link. Each exchange has its own files, recipients and expiry.

Clinic sending uses a paid plan. Eligible organizations can activate a trial after review and explicit confirmation. Personal doctor receiving is free.

In everyday practice

A referring doctor receives the imaging files and PDF report after an examination.
A patient receives a link or code and PIN instead of a physical disc.
The team requests a previous examination through an additional-file upload request.

How it works

  1. Add the files

Upload the archive and accompanying documents. Check that the files are available and permitted for sharing.

  2. Choose the recipients

Set expiry and permissions for each exchange. Recipients open only the permitted files, without needing an account.

  3. Check the status

Follow opens and downloads. An SMS accepted for sending does not confirm delivery or file opening.

A PRACTICAL GUIDE

Prepare the files and follow the real state of the exchange.

Prepare the DICOM or CBCT archive

An imaging examination often contains a folder with many files. Use ZIP to preserve that structure and add the PDF report or referral separately. Exclude executable programs and scripts supplied on the examination disc.

Check the form’s limits for an individual file, total size and file count, along with your organization’s remaining storage. A large archive does not mean unlimited transfer; limits depend on the current configuration and plan.

Wait for upload and security checking

Uploading transfers the file; the following security check determines whether it can be shared. Wait for the file to be ready before final sending. A security check does not confirm clinical completeness or the patient’s identity.

After an interruption, check for a saved upload and choose the same file to continue when that option is offered. If an archive is blocked, read the reason; do not rename its contents to bypass the check.

Grant the specific permissions

Choose the individual doctor or patient and an access expiry. Allow downloading when the recipient needs to open DICOM or CBCT in specialist software. Permission to return files is a separate choice.

Link delivery and PIN protection are separate. A named-recipient SMS requires a PIN shared separately. A Patient Key is a different option with a code and PIN for the specific package. Review the settings before confirmation.

What the receiving doctor sees

The doctor receives only the permitted files for that examination. Their personal inbox supports search, saved examinations, private notes and responses when allowed. Personal receiving is free and does not require creating a clinic.

PDFs and supported images can be previewed in MediSend. Download DICOM and CBCT for suitable medical software. Opening or downloading is a technical event and does not establish that a clinical review has taken place.
