Expired link — grant new access
The recipient requests access again and the clinic approves a new expiry. A new link is created; the old link remains invalid.
For the recipient
The page only shows that access expired. If available, choose Request new access. The old link will not become valid again.
For the clinic
The request appears on the handover. Choose 24 hours, seven days, 30 days or a future date within the retention period. You can also decline.
What the recipient sees
Three steps
- 1The recipient chooses Request new access.
- 2You review the request and choose a new expiry.
- 3MediSend creates a new link when the files are available.
Who does what?
- The recipient
- Requests access from the expired-link page without sending medical information.
- You
- Check the recipient and approve or decline the new expiry.
